Thank you for the answers. What does a facilities engineer do in an oil and gas company?
In my company a facilities engineer was responsible for all equipment and systems from the well head to the delivery point of the oil and gas. This included not only the processing of the oil and gas but the support systems which might include water treatment, power generation and pollution abatement.

They dealt with pressure vessels, pumps, heaters, heater exchangers, compressors, boilers, engines, gas turbines, pumps, control systems, electrical systems, piping, and just about anything else needed to get the job done. What does a facilities engineer do in an oil and gas company?
