What supplies do I need for an oil change on a 94 Camry?

What kind of oil filter do I need that will fit and how much oil should I get? I don't know how much my engine requires. Should I buy an oil filter remover? My oil filter is easily accessible. Can I do it by hand? Thanks. What supplies do I need for an oil change on a 94 Camry?
if you need to know this much then just pay someone to do itWhat supplies do I need for an oil change on a 94 Camry?
You should buy 5 quarts of oil. The oil filter is by the brand of filter you get. Go to your local parts store and ask what filter number to get. You will also either need a 13mm wrench or a 14mm wrench to remove the oil drain plug. Drain the car. Put the oil drain plug back in. Now remove your oil filter. Sometimes you can use your hand or sometimes you have to use a filter wrench. You should be able to turn with your hand. Put the new filter on. Remove the oil cap on the valve cover. Add four quarts first. Run the car and make sure your oil pressure goes up. Then check to make sure you added enough oil if not then add the fifth. Make sure eveything sealed. That means the oil drain plug, the oil filter, and make sure you put the oil cap back on. You are done. Hope that helps
Look in your owners manual to verify the correct oil and the capacity of your oil pan. It will likely say that you need 5 quarts of oil. Get that plus an oil filter.

You will also need a drain pan and somewhere to get rid of the used oil. (lots of places will take your oil for free)

Work when the engine is a little warm (not hot).

You should be able to work without lifting the vehicle if you get some cardboard to lay on.

First think is to remove the oil pan drain plug and allow the oil to drain into the drain pan. Let it run until it stops dripping. Then remove the oil filter. You will need a wrench or perhaps a large adjustible slip-joint to do that.

After removing the old filter, screw the new one one. Hand-tighten so it is snug. Do not use the wrench to tighten.

Replace the oil pan drain plug and add the new oil. When you have added the correct amount, check it on the dipstick. You might have to let it sit for a few minutes to get that to read correctly.

Once the oil is showing as full on the dipstick, you can start the engine. Let it run for a bit and check to make sure you don't have anything leaking. (filter or drain plug)

After driving for a while, check the oil again to make sure you are good to go. That is it.
Take $29.95 down to Jiffy Lube and let them do it!
when you put the new filter on be sure to get a little oil on the rubber seal, it helps it seal better. get some oil (new or old it doesnt matter all its for it to lubricate the rubber seal) on your finger and run it around the seal. dont over tighten it, just as tight as you can with one hand without cranking on it. dont start the engine until it has the required amount it, if you run it you will have to wait for the oil to run back into the oil pan before you can get an accurate reading. when you pour the oil in it dumps on the valvetrain and then runs to the rest of the engine.

be sure not to cross thread the oil plug. i personally use castrol gtx and fram filters... just my preference. if its a 4 cylinder then its probably a 4 quart engine, 6 cylinder is usually 5 quart. check your manual to be sure. if it starts slow or runs rough sometimes you might try some Restore, its a good product.

Good Luck!!
the oil filter is usually hand tighten. if its tighter you will need a filter wrench. then you need a adjustible wrench to remove the oil drain plug. drain the oil in a five quart or bigger container. replace the drain plug. now pour in the new oil, you will need to fine out what weight oil to buy ( ask at the store) and get five quarts and a filter, the auto store will know what kind of filter you require. when you tell them what kind of car and the engine size you have .
Go to a parts house and ask them to look up the filter for you. Any brand is fine as long as you're going to change it in 3k miles or around. I couldn't tell you which one without knowing if you had a 4-cyl or V6. Grab a 5qt jug of oil (NOT PENZOIL OR QUAKER STATE). After you've drained it, replace the plug, put about 3.5 qts in it (guess if you have to), run it for a few minutes, then check the oil. If it's on the LOW mark, you need exactly a quart more. If it's not registering you need at least 1.5 qts more. Use that to tell how much more you need.

While you're down there check everything rubber and make sure it's not cracked or leaking.
