How do i switch to running on synthetic oil?

Just flush everything out(drain it) and then add synthetic? I have heard it makes your engine last longer? Is it really pricy oil?(synthetic)

I want to get as much life as i can out of my 96 sho v8 engine what are some tips to do so..She is now about 225,000 kilometers, always serviced, regular tune ups and oil changes, how can i extend her life, and actually how many more Ks(kilometers) could i get out of this motor?

Thanks a lotHow do i switch to running on synthetic oil?
Just keep doing your regular tune ups and oil changes and your car will be fine. Asking about engine life is like asking how long you have to live, impossible to determine.

Synthetic oils are expensive compared to dino oil.

just drain it and put the synthetic in her. but at 225,000 km is there a point? how well do you drive your car? if you really take care of it, id think you could make it to 300,000k and the switch might be worth it. synthetic is a little more expensive, but the costs of repairs would be alot more.
well that all depends on how you maintain it. As to how switch there really isn't anything. Just drain it and and fill it with synthetic it does help. You still need to regularly change it like if it was the regular oil.
