My wife used oil by mistake to wash her hair. Then, he tried to clean it up with H %26amp; S shampoo 5 times but she couldn't. What can she do? Oil is still there. How do you clean up hair dirty with oil?
use dish soap it will not hurt her hair and it will get all the oil out for her. also when my hair feels really weighed down after a couple of weeks of washing and styling i use it every now and then to ';strip'; all the buildup out of it.How do you clean up hair dirty with oil?
Use talcum powder on dry hair - sprinkle on head and rub into scalp - this will absorb the oil. Then use a shampoo for oily hair to wash out the powder. This should get rid of it.
Put alot of baby powder or talc on her hair and rub it through. Then try to wash that out. Let the powder absorb the oil.
I use a Tar-based shampoo like Denorex, leave it on for 5 minutes....and I wash it at least 3 times....and I finished off with a cider vinegar rinse!!!
I would never recommend it for everyday use but ...
Dawn dishwashing liquid.
Wet hair, use a good palmful of Dawn and massage well into the scalp area, then work it into the strands and down the length of the hair. Let it sit for a few minutes, working it well into the hair. Rinse. Wash with normal shampoo, and then use a heavy conditioner along the length of the hair, especially on the ends. The Dawn should cut any remaining oil, the shampoo should help to rebalance the hair's pH, and the conditioner will help recondition the ';stripped'; hair.
Good luck!
First, remove the oil from the shower!!!
Try using baby powder to absorb up the oil and then wash the following day with a shampoo for oily hair.
How does one mistake oil for shampoo? And what the heck was oil doing in the bathtub?
I wouldn't sweat it. Most ALL shampoos are designed to remove oil or oily substances. It may take repeated washes but any common shampoo will do the job. Don't do anything drastic, this happens to mechanics all the time when they work on vehicles.
The talcum powder should work, however she should brush most of out before washing. Also, if it is still extremely oily after the talcum powder treatment she should repeat the treatment 2 or three times before washing.
Go see a hair dresser....she will have a product that will get the oil out.......
ekkkk...good luck!!
Wash it with dish soap - try Dawn
