First, check the oil companies websites for qualifications. I had a friend didn't have experience and he works for a oil rig offshore. So, do some homework before applying.
A central location for jobs are WorkInTexas.com and jobing.com. Sometimes, you'll find job fairs for oil companies on chron.com.
