im tan but i want to get darker.i also need to know if there are any risks in using taning oil. What is a cheap but good tanning oil that also works as a sun block?
The only risks to using a tanning oil is the chance of burning. I use a sunscreen with parasol when I tan and I have managed to get very dark...As I hit a plateau, I just lower the SPF...Meijer has a good sunscreen with parasol line and the SPF ranges from 50 down to 5.
In case you don't know... Parasol is something found in some sunscreens that allows UVA to get through and tan your skin, but blocks UVB(the burning ray or ray that gives redness). This is what I have always done and it allows me to tan, but I have never burned because of this. Once when I tried tanning without it...I burned...so I am capable of burning, but this lotion has helped me get darker and darker without the worry of a burn.
If you are really set on a n oil though, Hawaiian Tropic makes a great dry oil sun lotion with minimal SPF and it works great too..Just be careful of a burn.
