Is there any way to remove olive oil stains from brown leather boots?

My wife spilled an olive oil based salad dressing all over my beloved brown leather chelsea boots. It's left a couple of massive ugly stains... Is there any way to restore them to their former glory? Is there any way to remove olive oil stains from brown leather boots?
Unfortunately, leather is very absorbent. Your best bet is to oil the rest of the boot(s) to match with more of the same green-tinged oil. Use a rag and work quickly, wiping in a circular motion.

P.S. - Don't be upset with your wife. She probably feels bad enough. Accidents happen--as we all know.Is there any way to remove olive oil stains from brown leather boots?
Oddly enough, I had the exact same thing happen to my leather boots. (Well, no wife, I did it to myself.) After a week of trying everything, I finally doused the other boot with olive oil. Now I have a matching set ... only thing to do, I'm afraid.
There are some chemicals available that you can buy in the supermarket or general houseware shop that remove grease, oil and tar - I would have a go with one of those but test for colour fastness first.
First piece of advice would be don't wear your boots when your wife is tossing the salad! However, I have encountered a similar problem:- Methylated spirits/or surgical spirits will 'dissolve' the oil. Only dab it on the actual 'oil slick' as it may take out some of the original dye from the leather. Purchase some Saddle Soap - yes it is used for saddles but it is a superb wax that restores leather to a glorious shine. Persevere and keep buffing and all should be well.
no. The only thing you could do, is stain the entire boot with salad oil, so it all looks the same
